Two screens from The Curated Knot editor: the Edit with AI dialog with a Copy prompt button, and the review screen listing the changes before they are applied

Most couples don't struggle to build a wedding website. They struggle to write it. A welcome note, how you met, six functions with times, a line for the Mehendi that doesn't sound like a template. That is where an AI chat helps, and it is the part Create with AI in The Curated Knot's editor is built for.

You copy one prompt, paste it into the AI app you already use, answer a few easy questions, and paste the result back. The Curated Knot shows you exactly what will change before anything does. This is a how-to for the website itself; for the bigger picture of AI across planning, budgets and vendors, see how AI is changing Indian wedding planning.

How Create with AI works

The idea is simple: the chat happens in your own AI app, and the editor handles the safe part, checking and applying the answer.

  1. The editor builds a prompt about your website. It lists your sections, what each one is for, and what is already written.
  2. You paste it into ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or any AI chat. The assistant introduces itself and starts asking questions.
  3. You answer, then ask for your "website update". At the end it hands you a box of text.
  4. You paste that box back into the editor. A review screen shows every change.
  5. You apply it. One Undo reverses the whole thing.

Because the chat runs in your own AI app, The Curated Knot doesn't call an AI model on your behalf. The editor labels it free, and nothing in the process is published automatically.

Where to find it

  • During onboarding, a card called Create your website with AI sits at the top of the editor sidebar, on desktop and on phones. The editor tour ends on it with the line "Short on time?"
  • After setup, in the dashboard editor, the same feature is called Edit with AI. It sits in the top bar on desktop, and as a card in the sidebar on a phone.

The two names matter because they behave slightly differently, as we'll see in a moment.

Step by step: from sample text to your own website

Step 1: Copy the prompt

Open the AI card. Step 1 is labelled "In your AI chat". Press Copy prompt. If your browser blocks copying, the dialog shows the whole prompt so you can copy it by hand.

The Edit with AI dialog. Step 1, In your AI chat, has a Copy prompt button. Step 2, Back here, has a Paste the answer button.
Two steps: copy the prompt out to your AI chat, then paste its answer back here.

Step 2: Paste it into a new chat

Open a fresh chat in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or any AI app and paste. Use a new chat, so older conversations don't mix into your website.

Step 3: Answer the questions, mostly with numbers

The prompt tells the assistant to ask one question per message and to give choices as a numbered list, so on a phone you can reply with just "1" or "1, 3". Open questions, like how you met, stay open.

Roughly, the assistant will:

  • Sum up what it already knows from your Wedding Details and anything you have written yourself, and not ask for it again.
  • Ask for missing basics: your names, the wedding date and the main venue.
  • Offer a numbered list of your website's sections, and ask which to hide.
  • Draft each section the way it will read on the site, then ask "1. Keep it 2. Change something 3. Write it differently".

A question might look like this:

Which functions are you having?

  1. Haldi
  2. Mehendi
  3. Sangeet
  4. Wedding
  5. Reception
  6. Something else — tell me

You can say "I'm done" at any point, and it will give you your website update straight away.

Step 4: Paste the answer back

At the end, the assistant gives you "your website update" in a single box and tells you which buttons to press. Copy everything in the box, return to the editor and open Paste the answer (Step 2 in the dialog, "Back here"). Paste it and press Check answer.

Paste the whole box as it is. You don't need to tidy it first.

The editor pulls the update out of the surrounding chat text and checks it against your website's own field rules. Anything that doesn't fit is left out, with a plain-language note such as "was too long" or "wasn't one of the allowed options".

Step 5: Review, untick, apply

The review screen is titled "Here's what will change". It lists each section with its changes, and shows sections it will turn on or off and any page that would be hidden because nothing on it would show. Untick anything you don't want, then press Apply to my website.

The review screen titled Here's what will change, listing Cover, A Note From Us, Our Story and RSVP Invite with tick boxes, and an Apply to my website button
Every change is listed by section, so you can untick anything before it touches your website.

If you change your mind, the editor's Undo reverses the whole update in one go.

What it fills in

Create with AI writes the words and switches on your website:

  • Titles, welcome note, your story, event names, dates, times and descriptions
  • Which sections are on or off
  • Venue names, which can become Google Maps links if you say yes when asked
  • Your Wedding Details (names, date, venue), if you gave or corrected them in the chat

If you say yes to photo suggestions, it may propose images, but only from Unsplash or Pexels, and you see thumbnails in the review. Photos you uploaded yourself are not replaced unless you ask.

What it won't do

Being clear about the limits is what makes this safe to use for a once-in-a-lifetime event.

  • It never publishes. Applying an update changes your draft in the editor. Your published site is a separate step.
  • It changes nothing until you press Apply. Every change is listed and can be unticked.
  • It won't invent facts. The prompt tells the assistant never to make up dates, times, venues, names, prices or how you met. If you don't know something, it leaves that field out.
  • It doesn't see your photos. The prompt carries your website text, names, wedding date and venue. Photos are never included.
  • It doesn't pick your colours or theme. It works on content, not design.
  • Wedding Details save straight away. If an update includes your names, date or venue, those are saved first and Undo won't restore the old ones, so the review row says so. Untick it if you'd rather not.

Check the date and the venue spelling in the review screen, even when the rest looks right. Everything else can be undone in one click; Wedding Details can't.

Hindi, Hinglish and other languages

The prompt itself is in English, because it is addressed to the AI assistant. You, though, can chat in whatever language you like: the prompt tells the assistant to reply in the language you write in, naming English, Hindi, Hinglish and Tamil. The website text is written in English unless you ask for another language, so say so early if you want the welcome note in Hindi. The editor's own buttons and review screen are available in English, Hindi and Tamil.

Create vs Edit: what changes after setup

During onboarding, Create with AI starts fresh. The assistant writes new wording for every section, using the facts you already entered as material, so nothing you told us is lost.

In the dashboard, Edit with AI first asks how you'd like to work:

  1. Improve what we have: keep what you wrote, and fill in the sample text and the gaps.
  2. Start fresh: new wording everywhere, keeping all your facts.

It recommends one based on whether the welcome, story and events already hold your own words. Either way it opens by telling you what it already knows, so you don't repeat yourself.

Tips for better answers

  • Tell it the vibe in your own words. "Two Delhi kids, one Gujarati family, one Punjabi, lots of chai and no stiff speeches" gives it far more to work with than "romantic and elegant".
  • Replace the sample text. Template sample wording is often about other people or other cities. The prompt marks it so the assistant replaces it rather than keeping it.
  • Ask for another draft. "3. Write it differently" costs nothing.
  • Do it in one sitting. If the chat gets long, you can say "I'm done" and paste what you have; run Edit with AI later for the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can ChatGPT create a wedding website?

ChatGPT can write the words for one. On The Curated Knot, Create with AI gives you a prompt to paste into ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or any AI chat. The assistant interviews you, then gives you a website update to paste back into the editor, where you check every change before it is applied.

Is Create with AI free?

Yes. The editor shows it as free. The Curated Knot does not call an AI model for you: you chat in your own AI app, so any limits on that app's free tier are between you and the app.

Can I chat in Hindi or Hinglish?

Yes. The prompt tells the assistant to chat in whatever language you write in, including English, Hindi, Hinglish and Tamil. It writes the website text itself in English unless you ask for another language.

Will the AI change my names, date or venue?

Only if you gave or corrected them in the chat. They appear as their own Wedding Details row in the review, which you can untick. Wedding Details are saved straight away, so Undo will not bring the old ones back.

Does it publish my website automatically?

No. Nothing changes until you check the update and press Apply to my website, and even then your edits stay in the editor. You can undo the whole update afterwards with Undo.

Does the AI see my photos?

No. The prompt includes your website text, names, wedding date and venue, but photos are never included.

Short on time and staring at sample text? The Curated Knot writes nothing without your say-so: chat with your favourite AI app, review every change, and apply it when it sounds like you. Try it free →
